Fourth of July, 2008, part 1

We had a great Fourth of July celebration. Mom and I went and saw Sex and the City.....thoughts on the movie are for another post....I'll just say I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Back to the fourth, we then came home and had a cookout and headed off to Aberdeen Lake Park to watch the fireworks. The boys played on the playground and jumped in the bounce houses. We all had funnel cake and then watched the fireworks. William, our resident photographer, took several pictures of the fireworks, which I will post in another post. Paulie, sat in everyone's lap and said oooohhhh, aaaahhhh several times. It was just too cute. We had a great time.

Paul loved going down the slide.

William learned how to climb the rock wall and just loved it. He spent about 30 minutes doing this one wall, over and over and over.

Paulie has learned to smile for the camera and loves to have his picture taken. He is growing up so fast.

Waiting for fireworks.

Hanging out

We spent some time just relaxing at the house. This house is a bit bigger than our old one on Eglin AFB....so it is nice to just relax and not be on top of one another.

New shoes for the boys......they love getting new shoes, especially Paulie. He tries to put them on right away.
Our resident drinker. Sometimes I think he has more than we do with all his sips.

Watching tv with Dad.

There's a new agent in town....watch out! Paulie just thought he was the cutest thing wearing Dad's glasses, and well, he is.

Watch out for me....and my mouth. True Paulie.

It's all over. Now on to something else.

Bathtime at the Capozzolis.....on a golf course

As I mentioned in an earlier post, we might just have a new routine for bathtime....well at least during the summertime. Here is how the night went:

1. We had dinner. It was a good meal. All had fun and eat well. So we did the dishes and decided to take a nice evening stroll on the golf course. Ya know, to get some energy out of the boys so they would sleep well at night. Mainly this was for Paulie who is still enrolled in Baby Sleeping Boot Camp 101. At the moment he has and F. He needs to start studying if he wants to raise his grade. Anyways, back to the stroll.

2. The stroll started out really nice. The boys enjoyed running on the greens and throwing their golf balls around. Of course these are the golf balls that the really talented and gifted golfers left behind on purpose.

3. The nightly sprinklers turn on and well, the night just goes downhill....in terms of discretion and manners. The boys see the sprinklers and ARE GONE!!!!! Running like crazy mad men in the water, getting soaked, having a blast and keeping the feral Capozzoli tradition alive.

4. William gets so water soaked his pants literally fall off him as he is running to us. My father just takes his pants of and whoa-la, he is running in his underwear on the greens of the golf course, in the sprinklers.

5. Paulie is so tired and having so much fun he just wants to keep running but is constantly falling down.

6. We return home and take a bath to warm up because the boys were so water soaked and cold.

7. Paulie and William brush their teeth....Paulie all by himself.

8. Time for big smiles and posing for the camera with our resident photographer behind the lens.

Below is the same story, only in picture format. And, to top it off is a video of the feral golf course running in the video section. Check it out.

The beginning of the night. Things look good.

Playing on the greens. All is ok at the moment.
The the sprinklers turn on...and well, it begins.

Pure fun!

Kevin and his crazy faces. We were trying to take a nice photo and well, this is what we got. I don't look so great, but Kevin's faces were too funny to not post the pics.

And the underwear comes out....

Bathtime and warming up.....feels so good.

The candy store

Really, the title says it all. I don't think I should write much in this post....but hey, I goin' anyways. For dessert, we decided to take the boys to a candy store in the mall. Hum, can you say wrong decision.....two boys in a candy store where they serve themselves candy. Yeah, I thought so. Anyway, here are some shots from the experience.

William pouring endless amounts of candy, all kinds of candy, and tons of candy into his bag.

Paulie desperately reaching for his candy...which I am guarding so that the sugar high comes and goes quickly.

All I have to say is....check out the cheek.......

Paulie so proud walking and carrying his own candy. He does not know that Gaga has tied a knot in the candy so that: 1. he can not dump it on the floor and 2. so that he does not have any more. Yeah, like number 2 is really going to happen when you give a 20 month old their own bag of candy to carry. "Paulie, just carry the candy. Don't eat any of it. "

The exact reason why number 2 did not happen for very long. What you are not seeing is the tantrum of laying on the floor in the mall because the bag had a knot in it.

Our first visitors!

We are having our first visit from visitors in our new home. My parents are here for the Fourth of July weekend. We have had a good visit so far.....and they have really enjoyed our hospitality. Paulie's crying at night has been so soothing and peaceful, it makes them drift off to sleep in the nice, new, firm guest bed. William has had so much fun having an full-time audience. We have learned so much about our new house since my parents arrived.....like the summertime, golf course bathtime by sprinklers. Pictures and video of that will come soon. Here are some pics from the visit. There will be a few more pics to follow. Enjoy the shots.

Super strong William. What a helper with the luggage.

Silly faces in the car on the way to dinner.

William and Papa....and a very special shot....William's choo choo train.

Paulie playing with the chopsticks.

Where does she find the time?

Adrienne's husband, Brenden, really likes our family blog.....and honestly, I mean, why not.....it is pretty damn cool... but then that is an aside.....back to the post. So, Brenden likes our blog and I have been eggin' and eggin' Adrienne to do one of her own. Brenden is all for it and often wonders "Where and when does Tracy have the time to blog?!" So for all you wonderers out there, here is your answer.

If you notice most of my posts involve some sort of destruction made by my boys. Um, what do you think their mom was doing while she was SUPPOSED to be watching them. Yes, that is correct, give the lady a cookie......BLOGGIN'!

Several of my other posts involve topics ranging from lack of sleep, to poor Internet connections, to music, love of music, and just plain chaos. Again these posts are generally posted in the wee waking hours when my children are gearing up, eating their breakfast and getting their energy so they can go destroy the house and each other while I blog the day away. And, if you are wondering, yes, I think of these topics in the wee, wee, wee hours of the morning when I am listening to my sweet Paulie....I really mean the new dictator of our home.....cry away in his crib.

It's like I told Adrienne today on the phone, if you can't drink....blog. I mean, seriously, do you think I can pop a beer or pour a glass of wine at 11:00AM????!!!! Well, I could but then child services would be all over me like white on rice. So, if you would like to join me in bloggin', create an account. It is cheaper than that bottle of wine, easier on your waistline, and sometimes just as addicting.

OMG!!!!!!!! It happened!!!!!!!

Paulie slept thru the night AND William stayed in his own bed (well, the guest bedroom). That's right.....no children slept with Mommy and Daddy....ALL NIGHT! I feel like a brand new woman....like I can conquer the world...or at least my daily projects. Amazing what sleep can do for ya! Aaaaaaahhhhhhh.

Oh, and I put some new music on the blog. Check it out the music by the artist Laurie Berkner and the Backyardigans. Scroll down to the end of our music selection. My young, oh so young readers are goin' love it! I mean, come on, this section of the blog is called "Our Music" so it had to reflect the youngest bloggers in the house.
