Suggestions....anyone
I am in desperate need of a new book and just can't seem to find something that holds my interest. I know many of you bloggers and friends out there are avid book lovers....like me....so please suggest something I would love. Oh, and include a little description about the book if possible. I read just about anything. It just has to grab me from the beginning. Looking forward to what you suggest.

The Book Thief, Middlesex, Double Bind. Not sure if you've read these, they aren't new.
Oh, you wanted a description
The Book Thief is about a young German girl during WWII. It is definitely a different view from other books I've read during this time.
Middlesex is about a young person struggling with intersex issues.
Double Bind is about a young woman who had been brutally attacked, who is trying to help one of her clients. It doesn't sound like it would grab you, but it does.
Oh, also the Other Boleyn Girl. It's about Anne Boleyn's sister and their family's struggle to rise in royalty. Kind of trashy, but it definitely pulls you in.
Transister Radio is also very good. This time, transgender issues, but really good.

I second the Middlesex suggestion, its very good. I just read The Memory Keeper's Daughter and it was great-about a doctor in the 1960s who delivers his own twins, one of whom has Downs Syndrome and he sends her away without ever telling his wife, very intriguing.
