Fall yardwork
It seems that not matter where we live, we always seem to be somewhere new for Fall. That means we get to clean up all the different types of fall foliage. In Washington, it was pretty much rain, rain and more rain....and that meant that the Rhododendrons were in bloom. They were gorgeous, but picking up all the dying buds was another story. In Georgia, it was the Oak leaf and many, many, many, many acorns that were racked and bagged. In South Florida there was bi-weekly and the occasional flower bed weeding. In Colorado, we did not have to deal with fall yard work - but snow in the winter. This set in in October and did not leave until we moved in late March. In Northwest Florida it was the small leaf of the Florida Live Oak and ALL of its teeny, tiny acorns...in the front yard....and the large Oak leaf in the back yard. And now in North Carolina it is the pine needle. The good thing about the pine needle is that I don't have to bag it, but rather just respread it in the flower garden. I do love the crisper weather and bright sun, but not a big fan of the yard work because somehow I always seem to be the one doing the racking and bagging while Kevin is conveniently working or gone......do you smell something funny here?!?!? Yeah, I thought so too.
